Domesticating Ari

I did it!!!!

I had to drive in the snow today and for once in my life I DID IT!!! I am  so scared, soooo scared to do that but I am so proud of myself to say, I did it. Just thought I'd share. Mind you I was the only one who actually made it to school, but at least I made it.

El No No..

This El Nino weather thing is starting to piss me off. Yesterday we lost power fo quite a few hours and then once it finally came back on, it started snowing. The wind storms we are having actually scare me. The noise is so loud and the force is over 100km/hour. It's hurricane force winds in Langle BC. Unheard of.

So now we are still snowing and of course I have to go to school tomorrow and I will not go in a snowstorm. So please pray it stops soon and that I can go for my last 3 classes without any hitches.

Country life...

On Saturday James and Barkley were outside and Barkley had something in his mouth. So James playfully calls him over and proceeds to grab what's in Barkley's mouth. He pulls out what he thought was a plastic something from a distance, when in reality it was an animal SPINE. Yes backbone. So Emma comes yelling at me int he office saying Daddy got Pooh on his hand he needs help fast, I get up slowly ( have to let him have shit on his hand as long as I can) get the Lysol and paper towel and get to the patio. There at my door is the spine. I almost barfed. I thought Pooh, but no spine. So I pick it up in my paper towel to investigate. It was big and how the hell did my dog get it. What did it come from? Now the kids were outside in boots also trying to look. James is off gagging on the outskirts and I have a spine in my hand. What a family photo.

So once that settles down and the spine goes into the garbage, James and I realize there is fur chunks in various places. Oh no.. It's an animal and it's got more parts somewhere close we think. Now if the spine was ripped out what the hell would the other parts look like. SO we look under the BBQ and voila... There he is.. Mr. Bunny. Well half of him. The top half of him.All there was were some hind leg bones, his top part of his fur and his head still all attached to the top part of that fur. His stomach was laying next to him and various pieces of his intestines were there as well. He was starting at me. Of course James bailed at that point but much like Cindy at the pet store, I decided to make it into a lesson for my kids who were still hesitant at seeing what we were screaming about.

Josh came first and kinda awwww'ed and then Emma came and OOoohh'ed and then we picked him up with a dust pan, flicked him off to the field and went back to investigate his stomach. It was full of food and partially cut open so we could see inside it. The 3 of us investigating bunnies goodies was making James heave over in the corner now..

I guess the fact that Mr. bunny was so fresh and everything was so soft was a little easier than dealing with old dead bunny.

Ahh I think my cat is trying to say he loves me a heck of a lot...

Thank God For School!!!! It starts again tomorrow and I don't think Emma nor I could be any more excited. I for having one kids for a few less hours, and she for having us for a few less hours. Speaking of, I need to take some pictures of her and post about it. I'll be back with pics...

WAY TO GO EMMA!!!!!!!!!

3rd times a charm for this girl... She finally allowed me to get her ears pierced again. This was the 3rd and last time we will get them pierced. This was also the most dramatic with one gun at a time....

But dang, she looks amazing with them.

oh no...

what if I hate it? This morning I cut my bangs. I have always wanted them, should have probably gone somewhere to get them done, but I decided this morning was the time. I have had those side swept bangs for a while but they were not nearly this drastic. So be honest, what do you think? Can I pull this off? Does it suit me?

There's a whole lotta visible face there now. And let me remind you all, it's morning and my face is bare as can be.

*After* Here it is again once I got the chance to shower and put some makeup on.. I did forget my glasses though.
